2008 Landmarks Heritage Society Event Despite a Pirates loss to the Yankees, nearly 200 Heritage Society members and guests attended our 2008 Landmarks Heritage Society recognition event at PNC Park on June 25, underwritten by The North Bay Group of Morgan Stanley in Great Neck, NY. Also on hand was Shirley Virdon and her husband, former Pirate outfielder and 1960 World Series hero Bill Virdon, who we honored with a historic landmark designation. The presentation was made at home plate by Landmarks Board Chair Mark Bibro, Executive Director Louise Sturges, Alan Greenberg and visiting Heritage Society members Skip and Susan Brown who traveled from Jacksonville, FL to be with us for the event. We thank Alan Greenberg, Matt Thompson and Mimi Howard with The North Bay Group of Morgan Stanley and all of our Heritage Society members for your commitment to our mission.
